Please use the form below to volunteer for the Hollis Haunted House.  If you are instead trying to volunteer for the Fun Fair, please go here instead.  Thank you!

The Hollis Haunted House is built and run entirely by about 100 volunteers each year.  We have a wonderful time, and we raise thousands of dollars for student enrichment, but all this high-tech entertainment needs a LOT of people for setup/takedown, acting, ushers, makeup, and (in the weeks prior) construction of new and exciting scenes and special effects (set construction, pneumatics, video effects, costume design).  If you are an adult or a high school student in the Hollis-Brookline community who would like to be involved, we would LOVE to have you join us!

Different people have different abilities and availability, so we have come up with the form below for you to give us your contact information and what areas you would like to help with.  If you are only available on the day of the Haunted House and/or the day before, we would greatly appreciate your help with setup/takedown (we need LOTS of people for setup/takedown).  If you have some acting ability, we could potentially use you as an actor in the Haunted House itself.  If you are an outgoing people person, we could perhaps use you as one of the ushers (adults only) who brings groups through the Haunted House.  Or if you are handy with power tools or with painting and have some scattered availability in the weeks leading up to the Haunted House, you could help us with construction of the sets and special effects pieces ahead of time.  Some volunteers help in several different areas.

NOTE: If you are a high school student who is in the Rotary Interact club, the National Honor Society, or the Tri-M Music Honor Society, your hours helping and working at the Haunted House count toward your community service hours in these organizations.  The Haunted House is a large, charitable fund-raiser for the Hollis Elementary School, and your volunteer efforts are deeply appreciated.  Each year, we are delighted to fill out these community service hours sheets for all volunteers who ask, just let us know!

Please fill out the volunteer form below, click "Submit Form" at the bottom, and we will be in touch with you.  Thank you in advance for helping us with this wonderful community event!

Section Assignment
Normally, a volunteer is assigned to a particular section of the Haunted House, so that section leader can be the primary contact for the volunteer, and so that the section leader can know how many volunteers are assigned to their section.  It is helpful to us if you are flexible about the section you are in, so that we can assign the volunteers to the sections that most need the extra help this year.  However, if you would prefer to be assigned to a particular section or sections, please make sure those sections have a checkmark below, and "uncheck" the rest.
